People love starting off a new year with new intentions and new goals. It's a good way to re-align their focus and recalibrate.
However, the main reason why we do this is to break bad habits and build good habits in their place. This sounds wonderfully easy, but now is about the time where those old, bad habits start to resurface in the mind and it becomes make or break. So let's help you with that!
Tips to help you re-align your focus
1) Accept where you are
There's no point fighting yourself and beating yourself up for your old habits. You're only making them stronger. Even the great psychoanalyst Carl Jung stated
"whatever you resist, persists"
So just accept you have flaws and work your way around defeating them.
2) Get some clarity
Figure out where you want to go and what you want to do - be clear on it. We recommend using a journal to plan your progress and track it so you can see what you're doing right and where you're going wrong.
3) Try doing things one at a time
Are you trying to lose weight? Take care of your body? Take care of your mind? Change something in particular? Whatever it is, try doing it one at a time so as not to overwhelm your mind.
4) Be consistent and disciplined
People who are consistent and disciplined achieve their goals - the reason why is because they do things despite how they feel. They learn to not get trapped inside their minds and push forward towards their goal.
5) Learn to clear your mind
If you have limiting beliefs, and old habits constantly holding you back, learning to clear your mind is one of the most powerful methods for staying track with your goals. You won't let those negativities consume you, and the habits which are ingrained in the body will not take hold of you. This is one of the only methods on the planet with such a thorough understanding of what habits actually are and how to get rid of them from the mind.
